I would like this option as well. In previous communications with Zenfolio support I got the impression this would have been implemented by now.

Keep in mind George you can use Google Analytics. That lets me know jsut how bad I am doing on both my sites!

I do use GA and some days are downright disappointing but at least you don't feel like you're completely in the dark in terms of traffic to your site.

No argument there, which is why I asked Zenfolio about site verification months ago. I can only hope it happens soon. Their reply from January 6, 2009:

Yes, enabling Google verification is in our plans :)

.... so I guess we just have to wait.

This is why I would like a Project Plan Schedule posted. Its great to know its "planned" and that is helpful.  However knowing when would be comforting as well.

 Here's another vote for this. Now that Zenfolio lets us sell, I'm keen to optimise my site as much as possible and having access to the Google toolset would be extremely usefull.

Being able to verify would help enhance the search issue... On a side note it seems that gallery titles get pickup by google, but individual photo names don't fair as well...Are keywords readable by google?

In other words embedded verification get my vote, is this a democracy?

I need to verify my site for the Google Webmaster Tools site.

AKA: Hurry up and add this already.

The weird thing about this is they say they're going to do it, it's been months, and its really, really simple to do.  This creates a trust issue because we have to speculate about WHY they're not doing it, and why they're TELLING US they will do it.

And it makes me question my reasoning for using a 3rd party to host my images vs. doing it myself where I have full control.

any news on this being added?  For that matter any news on the general search engine optimization being fixed?

It seems like they are NOT planning to do this for some reason. Their list of things to do includes "Improving Search discoverability of photos and photo pages", which is large and complex; but not Google Webmaster Tools Site Verification which is small and simple.

I'm trying to imagine a reasoning, but I can't think of any reason for this...
