Do we have ??? If not, We Need an FTP Uploading Option!!!

We need an FTP Uploader option for the photographers that have more than 1000+ photos to upload at once.. It doesn't bog down your computer upload size as it does when you drag and drop your files as you have to keep your internet browser open...

If we don't have this, we should..

    Thanks

By the way, FTP uploading is very very secure vs. doing it the old drag and drop way.. Please find a way to do this.. we need it badly!!!!!

     Darkwood,

As another former Pictager I second the need for a good FTP uploader. ZF's bulk uploader is pretty good, but the process is not as automated as I would like it to be. I have to upload each wedding category individually and it has increased my upload times dramatically.

Seriously. The uploader tells me that my 2GB worth of images will take 13 hours. FTP would only take me an hour or two at most.

from what I have noticed, every time I use the ZF uploader, it shows the time as some ridiculous amount.  But after it gets rolling, like 30 - 60 seconds into the upload, the time drops drastically.  I know several people have started it only to see it claim several hours, and stopped it before it got a chance to average out it's speed...  just an fyi.

Saying FTP uploading is very very secure is false since data is still sent as plain text (even though images are binary but that's besides the point).  In fact, it is very insecure.  Putty has a PSFTP client which is very small and if Zenfolio would allow SFTP connections, then that would make it very very secure :)

Totally agree. I like the look and feel of ZF but the upload facility is dire.

Aperture export locked aperture, Java crashed and am now using Express send on an old windows pc which I copy the files to from the main Mac. Although Express Send has fallen over a couple of times it doesn't take the main machine out in anyway and I can leave the old pc doing the upload for the 24 hours it often takes whilst shutting down the louder and very business critical Mac.

I can upload my files via FTP to my usual printers why not ZF ?
