How to have a "film strip" display

I would like my galleries to have a "film strip" with thumbnails display at all time and in none of the few "style" I have tried it works this way.  I either see all images as large thumbnails or one large image with prev and next thumbnails.

Any words of advice on how to configure my pages?

    TIA

    Eugene

if you go to a photo page, and then go to the customize visitor view, layout options, the 2nd one down, "Centered Photo Layout with Thumbnails" is the closest to what you are describing...

    Kevin,

thanks for your help ... I actually tried different layout option before I posted ... I only have 2 available

    • Left to Right Gallery Layout
    • Centered Gallery Layout

In both of the layouts I either see thumbnails taking the whole screen space or onle large image if I click on one of the thumbnails.

It seems so you are within a gallery when opening the layout option. Make sure to first go to a photo page and then try changing the layout option. Then you should see, what Kevin describes.

Thanks Kevin.  I like taking pictures a lot more than post procesing them so I am painfully slow in uploading :)

same here... I'm hoping that with each photo, I will learn a little bit more so that each time the post-processing time becomes less and less.

Re: How to have a "film strip" display

    Hmmmm.... that's a nice feature.

Is it possible to go directly to the photo page when opening the gallery? I mean, I don't need to to click on the gallery to open a page of thumbnails, then click on one of them to get to another page of thumbnails... I want to be straight into first big picture with thumbs above. Possible?

    Thanks,

    Darryl

not yet possible, but at one point was an often requested feature....  we'll call this a reminder, because it's something I'd like to see as an option also!  :)
