You will first need to make sure that you have a Price List assigned to that gallery with Manual Approvals. ( SELLING -> Price List -> Open an existing Price List or create one -> Look at the top to make sure it is set to Manual Approval ).

Then you will need to make sure that price list is assigned to the gallery where your clients will be ordering from. To do this single click on the gallery and click on Edit in the Print Ordering section. To assign the price list from the bottom of that page.

This will make the new orders come to you first for the final approval ( SELLING -> Pending Orders ) and you will then be able to replace the low-res ( ordered files ) with the high-res ( touched up files ).

    Hope this helps.Big Smile

Re: WHAT'S THE PROCESS FOR UPLOADING FULL FILES FOR ORDER FULFILLMENT??

Ok. Let's dig into this a little deeper...

So I've uploaded a BUNCH of low-res versions into an album and users have started to place orders for either prints or personal use copies. I've set the ordering flow to manual so that all orders come to me first for approval. Now I need to replace the low res versions with their hi-res counter parts.

    Here come the questions:

    1. When I review the orders, I see a listing of all of the items, do I SPECIFICALLY need to indicate the replacement version from another location (ie. Temp Album) that I place it in or can I simply replace the original version in the source album and the order will be filled using the updated hi-res versions?

    2. Will deleting the ordered files and replacing with hi-res versions "break" the order?

    3. When replacing low-res versions in an album, I have been uploading the hi-res files to a temporary private album and then replacing the low-res version in the original album from the temp one. Once I have done this can I then delete the temporary ones?

    4. I tried initially to upload the hi-res versions to the same album that the low-res version was in but the upload (from Lightroom using the Plugin) simply created a copy in the same album. I did the same replace image task using the new images but then had to manually delete them. Is there another way to do this?

    Michael,

    1. You will be able to replace the low-res ( ordered ) images with the high-res files ( you would have to upload them to Zenfolio prior to this ). Once you have replaced the images and you clicked on Approve, the order will move forward with the "new" ( high-res ) files.

    2. No, since we take a repository after the order has been placed. Even if you delete the original low res images, since the order was placed we retain them in the placed order. You will need to replace the low-res files if you don't want the clients to receive low-res prints/files.

    3. Yes.

    4. There could be a problem with a plug-in as I don't think it should be duplicating your files. You may need to contact the author by going here ( http://regex.info/blog/jfriedl-links/about#contact )

Is it really necessary for the number of image pixels to be displayed on the "Add to Photo Cart" Page. I think its confusing to the customer, especially if a Zenfolioite uses smaller images for display.

    Ok... so riddle me this:

    1. Customer orders some digital version from a gallery populated with lower res version.

    2. I get notified of the order and then proceed to re-upload full sizes of requested files to the gallery where the order was placed. I verify that the new versions of the files are there using the exif data tab for the images.

    3. I go to the order approval screen and attempt to replace the original images (which according to your earlier response, is a snap shot of the files at the point of order) with the new versions that I recently uploaded, but the interface won't allow it.

    4. I end up having to re-upload the images again into a temp gallery and then replace the order images with these.

If the ordered images were a snap shot of the initial state at order, then the newly replaced images should be 'new' in comparison to the initially ordered versions.

Over to you ladies and gents!

     Michael,

I am interested in this string you started as I am getting into these sames issues myself. Have you gotten any further info since your "Ok...so riddle me this" entry?

    Thanks!

    Michael,

When you say up re-upload to a temp gallery, and then replace the original images with the images from the gallery, how are you replacing them?  I mean, you are using the replace option correct? and not just deleting and copying or moving from the temp gallery right?
