Removing "created" or "modified" below thumbnails?

I have tried numerous times to remove "modified" and "created" below my thumbnails without success.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Has anyone else had the same problem?

This is not possible to do.

Thanks.  I spent a lot of time trying to get rid of this, because I prefer a minimalist look to my website.

Hopefully, there will be an option in the future to hide this info.

    Yes, you can do that.

Select the item in the Organizer on the left side, and click Edit under Access Control in the Toolbox on the right. Uncheck the option to "Display metadata info such as dates and EXIF" and Save. Switch to Visitor View and confirm.

     Alex,

Suppose I'd like to keep the EXIF data for the images but just don't want the 'Created' and 'Modified' to be displayed under the galleries on the visitor's landing page? I think Created/Modified look horrible but would like a visitor to be able to examine the EXIF data on the 'Photo Info' tab. Is this doable right now?

Re: Removing "created" or "modified" below thumbnails?

I also don't want to see the "Created/Modified" to be displayed on my galleries and photos but when I unchecked the option mentioned by Alex, the exif data were also removed on my photos info tab. I hope there will be an option to just remove the "created/modified" and not the exif on the info tab. If not now maybe on the next update.

Re: Removing "created" or "modified" below thumbnails?

Yes, it is not very convenient but you can achieve that.

Step 1: Select the gallery in the Organizer, and uncheck the option to allow Dates and Metadata under Access Control.

Step 2: Select all the photos in this gallery, click Edit in the Access Control section again, unselect "Same as..." at the top and explicitly check the option to allow Dates and Metadata.

Save, and the result will be what you are looking for.

Re: Removing "created" or "modified" below thumbnails?

Thank you Alex, it works on the gallery but the individual photos still have the "photo taken - photo uploaded" on top of it. The photo exif has all the details and I don't think I need that on top of my photos anymore. Not a big deal for me but it will be nice if I can remove that "photo taken-photo uploaded". CheersSmile.

Re: Removing "created" or "modified" below thumbnails?

Thanks Alex! Works like a charm. I too find the 'Date Taken' and 'Date Created' info at the top of the individual images a bit unsightly with most theme/layout combinations. They just don't view well to me. Perhaps they could be moved to another location within the layouts or even dropped altogether, since the info appears in the 'Photo Info' tab I believe even if metadata/EXIF is off.

If you are so inclined, you can hide Date information from the photo pages without affecting EXIF.

While looking at a photo page with an image displayed, select Customize Visitor View>Options from the My Zenfolio view switcher. You want to mark Date Uploaded and Date Created options as Hide

Thank you very much Alex. That's exactly what I want. You really helped us a lot.

I came from a photography website where support is really bad. If you asked questions, unlikely you will get a reply from the support team. Five stars to Zenfolio team.
