Is there a way to create an opening page where the viewer sees just one large image and if so, could either randomize the image or commence a slide show of pre-picked favorites. I know the code here won't include Flash, but is there a work around?

I am not sure there is a way to do what you want without flash. I wanted the same and I have embedded "slideshowpro" in my main web page: www.simonedegan.com

This is a feature we are working hard on and it will be available soon. We don't have a release date yet but I promise it will be soon
