Complete Photoblog integration natively into zenfolio

I know that there are several requests already for such a feature, but I would also like to add my 2¢ and thoughts to this.

Lets be honest and to the point here, this is a huge smugmug selling point, the fact that users can enable a photoblog and build it into their smugmug sites ala Nate Zeman Photography which is using Blogger. Being able to implement such a thing would make our lives much easier without having 2 seperate sites entirely and having people run all over the place to see our work. It would also mean our galleries get more traffic this way and we are more readily and easily to get our work out in front of those who matter the most.

I checked out Nate's site, and the feature-set offered by the other guys... they don't advertise any automatic 'blog-integration' or anything like that.  I believe what you are seeing is separate blogger and photo sharing sites designed to look like each other, adding the same header and menu bar to each.  Just done with page customizations on the photo sharing side.

Page customizations are coming to Zenfolio... something they are pushing very hard on right now.  What specifically will be included will remain to be seen.  I have heard from older posts here that it will be done it two (?) stages, but I am hoping a customizable navigation bar will be part of the deal.  That would allow you to link to your blog, a separate site, your facebook page, etc....

While I think having an 'all-under-one-roof' setup with site + blog is a good idea from a design standpoint, I'd like the option to setup an FTP link to a 'ZenBlog' and be able to use an iWeb or other 3rd party blog designer to upload content. Hopefully this would be able to create a nice, clean URL like: "Studio name.zenfolio.com/zenfolioblog.

here's to hoping for the Moon!
