    Minimum Greeting Card Order?

Is there a way to set a minimum number of greeting cards for a greeting card order?

The reason it's needing is so that people can't buy a single greeting card at a low price instead of a single 3x5 or 4x6 print at a higher price.

Basically I want to sell the cards in blocks of, say 25 cards and price it out accordingly.

just set it up as a custom product that you will fulfill.

Granted this is possible, but I'm not looking for a work around that puts me in the loop.   My reason for using a service such as Zenfolio is so they will handle the payment, fulfillment, and return process (if any).   That gives me more time to take more photos rather than be an administrator.

And let's face it. Does anyone really want to buy one holiday greeting card?  No.  Greeting cards are bought in boxes.   That's how they should be packaged and priced here as well.

I understand that nobody wants any workarounds.  We all just want it to work.

I've seen a lot of post that ask if certain features are possible and the answer always seems to be, "Make a custom product".

This is also a problem with the lab.  If they don't offer bundles, zen doesn't offer bundles.  Zenfolio doesn't make the products, they just offer up some of the lab's choices.  You can go to mpix, order a card, and add it to a template.  If you order through zen, it's just the photo.

Yes, but Zenfolio controls the shopping cart and therefore can certainly make it possible to front-end the lab with minimum quantities.   Greeting Cards and similar items are the biggest issue in this regard, because if you price them too low then people will just buy them instead of small prints and cut into our profits, but if you price them too high they are no longer perceive as worth the money by the customer.  That's why many places do greeting cards by the box not by the individual card.

    Re: Minimum Greeting Card Order?

Well, I started to set up a custom order for greeting cards and immediately ran into a couple of issues: (a) making a separate custom order for each & every greeting card template is a huge amount of work and it doesn't display very well for customers, and (b - the show stopper) there's no way in the custom order workflow to allow the customer to enter the text they want on printed on the card.

So I'm back to needing a way to specify a minimum order -- or -- alternatively to sell a box of say 20 greeting cards as a single product.
