Embed a slideshow on Facebook for Dummies

I've seen this discussed in a few threads but cannot figure out what bits of the ZF embedded SS code go where and how to fill out the info the apps request on Facebook.

I've tried FBML and http://apps.facebook.com/flashembed with no success, although the latter looks more promising.

Flash Embed asks for <object> tags - do I add them and place the <embed type =" etc.> stuff in between?

It also asks for the URL - how do I find just that among all the EMBED code?

Where does the SS go?  Can it be moved, resized etc?

Does anyone have a simple guide for dissecting the ZF SS code and getting it working onto a Facebook page?  (Which BTW, Facebook has the worlds worst UI - I can't understand why it's so popular?)

    Karen,

Forget the facebook aps...  tried that myself and never ever worked...

Since that time (that I first tried) Zen has added simple sharing for facebook.

    http://www.zenfolio.com/zf/help/sharing-searching-and-linking-to-photos/embeddable-slideshow

help for embeddable slideshows is available at that link, but basically you want to go to edit view and:

    1. select the gallery you want to have for your slideshow
    2. click the 'create embeddable slideshow' link on the top of the right column
    3. use the settings to configure your slideshow the way you want it
    4. click 'create slideshow'
    5. copy the FACEBOOK link at the bottom of the page
    6. go to your facebook account, add a wall post and click the 'add link' icon and paste the slideshow link you just copied into that link box.
    7. sit back and watch all your facebook fans and friends 'oooohhh' and 'aaahhh' comment over your awesome mad skills in photography and facebook slideshow creation!

Now I do * really* feel like a dummy, LOL.  I tried all the FB apps and was unsuccessful so I'm glad it wasn't just me!!!

I was just thrilled that ZF added the slideshows and never paid much attention to other things that have developed...they should announce these things!  That took me all of about 20 seconds.

Thanks - and I enjoyed your page & images Kevin!
