    Selling confusion!

I am almost cross-eyed trying to figure this out.  If I click on the option to "allow ordering at prices I set" then I can't seem to find anyplace where I can sell other products.  All I have available to sell in the shopping cart is gift cards, no prints, no mugs, calendars, etc.  If I don't select the option to make my own prices, then it tells me I have no markup and no profit.  Clearly I am missing something big here, but I don't know what?

    Hi Richard,

I sounds like you have not found the selling tab. There is an excellent tutorial within.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Selling confusion!

Thanks a lot Charlie, I actually resolved most of my problem shortly after I left this post.  I had to walk away, close my eyes, get a bite to eat and then come back to it.

Zenfolio's tutorials have helped a lot, but they always seem to be a more general style of instruction.  Sort of like "it can do this, and for that you go here, and then..."  Rather than click this, then click that, then select this and finally if you want this click here..."

I have read tons of remarks from folks using many different sites; smugmug, photoreflect, etc., and thus far I have to say Zenfolio is pretty impressive.  Aside from photography I build CMS systems and websites for photographers and models, so I understand the limitations most often existing within these types of sites... they have come so far, however.

The lack of a companies investment in having a fully staffed support option is disappointing, however--I do understand their business model insomuch as putting a healthy forum module into their software and let the zillions of hours of user trial and error serve to answer the questions everyone has, rather than "them" having to deal with it.  I therefore appreciate guys like you and the litany of other people (users) whom are always so thoughtful and willing to help us newbie--no--nothings!  Big Smile

Thanks again and best of luck to you!

    Richard
