Vitas [Zenfolio]:As you probably know, Google's engines are very complex, and are changing all the time. I doubt that adding explicit keywords will help .... so keywords alone really do nothing to promote a page.
I agree with the original request that there is value in having keywords associated with a page.
It seems to me that Zenfolio also recognizes the value of keywords, because this is what I see when I view source on my Zenfolio page:
<meta name="keywords" content="photo galleries,online photo galleries,web photo galleries,online galleries,photo hosting,upload photos,photo upload,upload digital photos,selling photographs,digital printing,digital print ordering,travel photography,event photography,wedding photography,online albums,websites for photographers,photographs online,photos online" />
These keywords do nothing to benefit me, but potentially do plenty to benefit Zenfolio. What I want on my page are keywords that apply to my specific type of photography. "sunsets, landscapes, portraits, Louisiana" would be of much more value to me than "photo hosting, websites for photographers".
