    Option to set Google keywords

     I would really like to be able to write my own keywords for my zenfolio page, so that if you search images with google there might be a chance that my zenfolio pictures will show up in the search results. How does zenfolio work with Google as of now?

    Best regards,
    Peter Gabriel

    As you probably know, Google's engines are very complex, and are changing all the time. I doubt that adding explicit keywords will help, as Google is fighting the uphill battle with fraudulent sites trying to "get on top". I think that meaningful gallery titles and captions go a long way towards being properly indexed by Google. Also remember, that the second part of the equation is being linked from highly reputable sites, so keywords alone really do nothing to promote a page.

    I agree with the original request that there is value in having keywords associated with a page.

    It seems to me that Zenfolio also recognizes the value of keywords, because this is what I see when I view source on my Zenfolio page:

     <meta name="keywords" content="photo galleries,online photo galleries,web photo galleries,online galleries,photo hosting,upload photos,photo upload,upload digital photos,selling photographs,digital printing,digital print ordering,travel photography,event photography,wedding photography,online albums,websites for photographers,photographs online,photos online" />

     These keywords do nothing to benefit me, but potentially do plenty to benefit Zenfolio.  What I want on my page are keywords that apply to my specific type of photography.  "sunsets, landscapes, portraits, Louisiana" would be of much more value to me than "photo hosting, websites for photographers".

    I totally agree with Mark-B, does upgrading to the $100.00 per year offer you the ability to make meta name keywords associated more with the photographer's site?

    Almost a year later and no improvements in regards to Meta Keywords, that not only benefits Zenfolio, but improves searches specific to the photographer's site
