    Forum very slow.

     Hi Alex

While ZF in general have a pretty good speed the forum seem to be much slower.

When replying to a post the update of the page is very very slow.

I cannot reproduce the slowness, forums seems pretty snappy to me. Creating a post does take a few moments, probably about 2-5 seconds at most. I tried from a regular DSL, as well as from Starbucks wireless connection.

I still find it quite slow.  The delay when posting and the time the window take to fully load where your type your actaul post is way slower than most other forums.

Im on very fast 10mb line for your info but hey i'll survive ;-).

I think replies are pretty snappy to post and refresh. I find my home page in edit view is slower than the forums...

I'm in the Middle East on a satellite connection, and I have some problems with my ZenFolio management for sure, but the forums have been consistently snappy and responsive for me.

Thorne -- my sympathies. The latency from your location to our servers in California must be really high, especially given the packet drop rate satellite connections are notorious for.

Yeah, I get about 60-80% back when I ping time.Apple.com (i.e., over there on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET with YOU), but hey, no problem. It all WORKS, that's the important thing. :-)

The main "bug" (via the circumstances) is that some of my Safari tabs get themselves in perpetual loading mode (pending a hopeless thumbnail), the "stop loading" button/command doesn't resolve them, and the spinners in my tabs are distracting. ;-)

Browsing the forums have been better lately but it's still a MAJOR lag when you hit the "Post" button and have to wait for the page to refresh.

I really hope the speed of this forum can be further improve.

If speed is good, it would encourage more people to express their suggestions in this forum .. more forumers.
