I've had my Zenfolio site for a year and a half but it's never showed up in Google search results. I notice that other people's Zenfolio sites seem to show up. Is there anything you can do, or some setting to change, to help get your site indexed into Google? There are some external links to my site, but that doesn't seem to have helped.

I remember when I used to use Smugmug, I would get a number of hits in Google, pretty high up in the search results..

I have just a simple redirect to my own domain and Google snapped it up within a few weeks.

Even before i redirected my own domain it got snapped up by Google though further down. I don't know if  the actual name of your ZF site have something to do with it or what you put in the public profile.

 Maybe some more websavvy user could please chime in here with some tips.

This is very much the same for me.. I've set up andy-mercer.co.uk to pick up my zenfolio pages. Is it possible that linking the domain name to my zen pages somehow messes up Google ?

I've tried the following searches and none produce any results.. and its been like this for months ?

Andy Mercer zen (a little more specific but still nothing)

Andy Mercer Zenfolio (very specific.. but this only returns my forum posts.. still no link to my zenfolio site)

Am I doing something wrong ? Or can I do something to remedy this.. the most amazing part is that I even have an google adwords account pointing to this URL but still nothing appears in Google searches. I can post a comment on an art forum and it shows but my pages at Zen.. have absolutely zero.

Google analytics also reports on my zen pages..

I've been generally happy with Zen but this is a major problem as far as I am concerned. Advice and/or assistance greatly appreciated.

If you do a search in these forums for SEO or Search engine optimization you'll find a few threads on the subject.

also, very first thing:  go to http://www.google.com/addurl and add the url of your home page.  this tells google you are now in the world.

Another point I think is well worth mentioning here and I found by SEO searching this forum.. was that you must set your "Access Control" "Search" to "public" in the Toolbox panel on the lower right side on your main ZF dashboard page. I don't ever remember setting it to private. I'm hoping this will sort it.. so thanks again for our assistance !

I actually had checked a couple of your pages for that and didn't see that it was set to private (or had search off, whatever) but only like the home page and one other.  Didn't check them all.  I apologize for not mentioning it just in case however.
