Is there any chance to get an ETA for the new features...?

I for one would really appreciate it, especially for some of the more "important" (subjective) features like theme & layout customization, Custom Web Pages, Client Login Pages, Pro Themes & Client interaction

it would be awesome to know a bit more about these features and also about how long it takes to see these implemented...

I mean no one would be angry if a timeline would not be met - but not knowing and just relying on the "soon" thing isn't working either...

Well, they mentioned the features are small, so I don't think it will have anything to do with what you're expecting.

Do you mind to elaborate?  I mean  nowhere within the original Post of Vitas I have him (or anyone else for that matter) seen to refer to the new features as small updates? they're just being labeled as new features without any given details.

Besides I ask for an ETA (estimated time of arrival) and some insight in what exactly the new features I mentioned will provide us with... 

Sure I do have expectations - who hasn't ;)

For me  the most important "Missing Features" on zenfolio are (in order of personal relevance)

1. Custom Web-Pages & Intro-Page (slideshow front)

Here I expect zenfolio to be able to let me create unique pages such as "Bio","Contact","Pricing", "Galleries",... automatically matching the chosen theme & Layout, supporting my unique Domain name (so not some weird numeric link) but real URLs like "http://www.dgentile.net/contact" for example.

Also the ability to make a customized "HOME" Page with a nice slideshow of my portfolio (AUTOPLAY!!) embedded and some quick-bio or "facts"...

2. Theme & Layout customization

My expectations in the regards of Theming & Layouting would be that they provide more PRO-Grade themes, easily customized (Colour-scheme, font style, borders...)  and more options or flexibility with arrangement of content-elements

3. Client Logins & Custom Client Login Page

The ability to create customized logins for individual customers with individual access rights.

4. Photographer & Client Interaction

Integrated tools for communicating with the customer (create "new" Gallery mails, Proofing (let the client do some sort of "selection" or "rating"),...)

5. Larger Sizes

Maybe something flexible (URL-parameters to define the max X or Y Size)??

4 & 5 are not as important as the rest.

I couldn't care less about social networking, or any of this - but that's just me ...

So this basically means that the tomorrow's update will be insignificant.

Zenfolio has recently gotten a bit less search friendly.  Now most pages have hidden text that causes Google to summarize them as either: "Direct links to several image sizes are available to the Owner of the photo. Please login to access the links." or "Add to Cart. Share. Add Photo to Cart -. Product Categories: Qty. Products. No products are offered by photographer"

Because this reads as nonsense and because it is the text repeated on many, many pages, it tends to make Google see ZF pages as search SPAM.

and a much higher percentage of the overall 126 results.

- the ability to use Outlook address book or Apple Contacts - possibly import from these

- import a price list edited in MS Excel, can export but would like to re-import after changes

- create email invite templates - different email templates server different clients

I agree

 I would like to see the ability to set coupons for specific items. For example, if I wanted to offer 30% off all print puchases over $25USD, I would be able to create a coupon good for this and have it only apply to prints. This would allow us to sell targeted items and runs sales campaigns throughout the year.

We need a system that works with major search engines, I monitor my site in here and even if I use tags (enabled globally) I never EVER find people discovering the zenfolio site through that.

Instead I have to rely on a blog where as soon as I post a few tags the search engines crawls the blog in a heartbeat and bang! Why can't we have a front page blog or something that uses the wordpress engine? Maybe that's why it works so good in Wordpress..its engine? We live in our own little hidden corner on the web otherwise, unless you post links and links manually...plzzzzzzzz
