"Add to cart" option doesn't appear

I just got off the phone with a client -- he had one of my galleries up on his screen, and was trying to order a print. The "Add to Cart" option didn't appear anywhere on his screen. Just to make sure, I logged out and looked at the same picture he was looking at, and I saw the Add to Cart option. He had placed several orders just a few days ago, so it was unlikely to be pilot error.

Very strange! I have no information on what browser he was using -- I just took his order over the phone and paid for it out of my own pocket.

Has anybody else seen this issue?

     Thanks,

    Paul

Some users experience this problem when placing an order through custom domain that has been forwarded to Zenfolio. Instead of forwarding to Zenfolio you will have to set up a CNAME or an A record. If this is the case for you please contact support so they could give you guidance on how to resolve this problem.

    Always here to help!

Re: "Add to cart" option doesn't appear

That's really, REALLY unfortunate. Can you explain the exact cause of this problem? If it's isolated say, to a few older browsers, that's not a big issue to me. But if it's something fundamental to the way Zenfolio is written, that's a huge issue.

Here's the problem in a nutshell -- as a professional photographer, I create several new galleries every week for my clients. For good reasons that I think anybody can understand it is far preferable to send my clients to a URL like http://Halston.upstatephotographers.com, than to something like http://paulandbrenda.zenfolio.com/p412212146. The chances of a client mistyping the kind of URL that zenfolio creates is extremely high, no?

If I set up a custom URL for zenfolio, I still have this problem -- it won't get rid of the /p4122121446, right?

So I guess if you can't make it so we can forward a URL to Zenfolio, I'd like to see you let us rename a directory, replacing the /p1451415615 stuff with a client name, like /eddyandjen.

     Thanks,

    Paul
