Aperture Plugin Login Error

Has anyone else experienced a Login error when using the ApertureToZenfolio 0.16 Plugin? I used the plugin recently with no errors and suddenly I now get a login error on both of my Mac's. I have the latest version of Aperture 2.1 installed on both a MacBook and an intel iMac 20".

White space appears for certain image sizes

I am experiencing issues in the shopping cart in the framing of pictures. At first I selected 8x10 print, I saw white space above and below the picture while in the shopping cart and also when trying to select framing options. When I selected 16x24 size for the same file there were no white spaces. Now I tried different sizes and found that the white spaces tend to appear for certain image sizes. I was under the impression that the image would be resized to fit into the selected size but looks like that not the case here. Is there a way to work around this problem. Can somebody please explain.

I have set "comments" for a gallery as private (only I should see them), yet they are still publicly visible. Why? Need this to work so I can get feedback from clients, without others seeing what that feedback is.

Slideshow image over saturation

This isn't a "problem" really, in the sense of something being broken - but this section probably qualifies as the most likely to get a qualified answer.

I've noticed (and surprised that no one else has!) the slideshows generated by ZF output images which are WAY off in color compared to how they are viewed in a normal gallery. They are almost always way over saturated. Nah - pretty much always.

This issue is not ZF centric however - I have observed the exact same thing in other Flash based slideshow generators - usually to the befuddlement of their "tech support" people when the issue is raised.

I've already resigned myself to the fact that there is no likely magic bullet to fix this - and I certainly cannot do special post production versions of all my images to please slideshow generators. However, I AM wondering if there is someone out there who will acknowledge the issue and maybe explain why this happens?

Best guess - Some kind of limitation in super compacted Flash routines for web, and possible compression algorithms it imposes in order to pull off the "magic". It would just be nice to hear "yes, we know" and why.

Visitor Views ?

When I'm in my edit view my Weekly/Monthly visitor views are higher and are not adding up to my total visitor views.

Is this normal ?

I understand how Google adds more hits than ZF does but why are my W/M views on ZF higher than whats being added to the total views.

If I see 100 views for the month my "Total" will only show that about 15 or 20 views were added during the same time period.....

Just curious why the difference ?

Framing option probs

Has anyone seen items from the "framing" list during checkout "come and go" at times??? More than once, I have seen the framing option list either NOT show up at all, or only 1 or 2 options appear ( when several others should be there). When I select "ALL" then EVERYTHING (all options and backings) is visible.

Discoloration on sides of photo(s)?

I have an image on here that shows slightly discolored vertical bars running along both sides of the image. These discolored bars are very subtle and only appear in the zenfolio resized image displayed in the gallery. They are not present in the original image. I've enabled "download original" for this picture so you can compare the original with the image displayed by zenfolio.

To see the discoloration I'm talking about (again, it's very subtle), look along the left edge of this photo http://photos.kusterers.net/p30424649/h1906a2e0#h1906a2e0

The discoloration is just about the same (exactly the same?) width as the left side menu that appears with the "share", "dim the lights" and other options. Once you see it on the left side, there appears to be a similar bar along the right edge.

No previews when downloading ordered files

Situation:

A customer orders multiple files for download and gets confirmation email with a link to download images. When they click the link, a non-public page with selected pictures appears.

The problem: a client can't see thumbnails nor picture names.

I don't see a reason for not showing the thumbnails and I assume it is a small glitch.

Another minor thing: Is it possible to leave the original name of the downloaded file? When a customer calls and points to a particular file they downloaded, I don't know which file they are talking about.

Problem to reply with "Reply via e-mail" in guestbook

Custom Products: Different Shipping / Billing Addresses

A client brought this to my attention last week when she was unable to enter her billing address which is different than where she wanted the products shipped. There was also no way to edit it once she got to the PayPal part of her check out.

I seem to recall this not being an option when using the partner vendors, and assume this is an issue only with custom products. Can this be remedied?

Anyone using ApertureToZenfolio?

I just joined, downloaded the Aperture plug-in and it doesn't seem to be logging in.. It kind of acts like it does but it doesn't load the gallery list and the export button doesn't do anything...

I have checked and I do have the API enabled in my preferences..

Did I miss something?

Right Click brings up Menu Over Image

I just noticed that if you right click on the photo it brings up the same menu as if I checked off "show" for the "Menu over the image" option. I don't think it should do that.

I have downloading set to full resolution on my images from certin people, and I have those images in two locations and only give those people the link to the page that has the "Menu over the image" Option turned on. Everyone else I don't want to have that option.

Slow site

Hi. Has anyone else had problems in the last couple of days with a slow site? On occasions seems to be struggling to open thumbnails in galleries. They do eventually open but slower than normal.

Public Profile not showing.

I have my Contact info and About all filled out and saved. However, my Public Profile is not showing up on my actual page.

Is there a button somewhere that has to be clicked to show/hide this feature? Since we can show/hide the caption, title and few other items.

It could be there, just not showing on my end. Yet, it's not showing on my husband's laptop or his work laptop.

Hosting intermittent at GoDaddy

Hi there. I have a domain at GoDaddy www.petershugart.com and since I started it last week my site is intermittently hosted by ZenFolio or it just says parked by GoDaddy. When I do the DNS check at ZenFolio, it says everything is working right, and sometimes this will get www.petershugart.com working again, but it is not consistent.

The CNAME is www.zenfolio.com and the A record is 64.62.158.18. Can you help please?

500 Error?

Some of my clients have been getting 500 errors on some of my galleries and/or albums. Last night a woman in California could access one album, but not 4 other albums in the same gallery. Last month several people in Missouri could not access all the albums in one gallery, while people in Kansas could.

At first I thought it was a propagation delay, so I set up my latest albums last week and sent them links yesterday hoping there was enough time to propagate the new link. Apparently this isn't the problem since she still can't access them.

I emailed customer service last night with this information but their only response has been "send us the error".

I'm frustrated and my clients are getting grumpy. Anyone have any ideas?

custom domain url intermittent routing

Greetings!

I hope someone can help.

My zenfolio account with a custom url, www.lookbackart.com, does not work reliably.

It is intermittent and inconsistent - sometimes it links to my customized account and other times it routes to the zenfolio home page.

I originally set up a CNMAE and Arecord as instructed at Godaddy.com. Even after waiting 4 days the intermittent problem would randomly strike. For 10 minutes it would properly route traffic to my site then suddenly it would get routed to the godaddy.com home page instead.

I contacted Godaddy tech support and they suggested I set up "domain forwarding" which is supposed to automatically set the dns settings. I did that with @ www.zenfolio.com. They also said - For your domain to forward, your domain's A record must be 64.202.189.170. I set that too.

So thats where I am now. Still intermittent connections - sometimes I get into my account, other times I get routed to the zenfolio home page ( rather than my account ). Before forwarding it would be intermittent between my account and dodaddy's stand in page.

What should I do?

My bold and underlining. Should be:

Problems with galleries and images??

I've just noticed (08:08 AM EST) that i'm getting 404 errors on all of my galleries and images?? In Edit mode I can bring up and edit galleries and images appear ok, but is vistor view i get 404???

I have set-up my photos for a free download.... But, friends tell me they are unable to download... the file comes in--- then they are not able to do anything with it (save etc) OR it just doesn't download.

One person finlay got the download to go; but only for 1 image

Yes, I have double checked my settings to allow for the download.

Any ideas on why this is not working very well?

Problem this morning getting to home page

Batch Download - Only Want them Able to Download ONE Pic

I have a client waiting for an order approval for digital downloads. Now, because of Batch Download, when I go to test the download of the original file (I upload the original and give her access to that original file in addition to the digital download through the cart) I see that I can download the Entire Gallery. Testing this out, YES it's the ENTIRE Gallery, not just the ones marked to be allowed for download. So, she's paid for 9 and can download all 200?? Without having to create a new gallery entirely, how do I turn OFF BATCH DOWNLOAD?!
