Ordering at a gallery party

I am having a home gallery party with three other artists and I would like to order all photos using Zenfolio. How do I do this without the wholesale price list being prominent?

Gallery Wrap Design

I have had great success with Zenfolio! Right now I have a client who is purchasing quite a few different products, two of which are gallery wraps.

The size for the wrap will be 8x10. I seem to be at a creative loss as to how to solve a problem and am hoping you all can help me. The images she has selected for the wrap are tight headshots. Wanting most of the image in the main portion of the wrap (not just the faces), I cannot find a way to do this as when I attempt to manually crop, there is a tremendous amount of blank space. I'm about to pull my hair out!

She is placing a large print order of several hundred dollars and I need to get this nailed down quickly so any and all advise is more than appreciated!

Can additional discounts be applied?

I am a member of NAPP. Some of the benefits include discounts from a bunch of places. Is it possible to apply my NAPP discount codes to orders from mpix and fotoflots? Mpix has different discount codes that change from month to month and right now, there is a 10% of code for fotoflots until November 30th. Can I use them throuh zenfolio?

Branding for Greeting card orders

I am trying to find out if premium service members have the option of placing their company name and or logo, phone, etc., on the backs or somewhere otherwise inconspicuous--of drop-shipped greeting card orders. I am finding out a large number of the other services don't provide a way to do this, which is shocking to me; I mean what photographer does (NOT) want to brand hundreds of greeting cards going out all over the place??? My trial is about to expire, and this is a deal breaker for me, so much appreciation if anyone can shed some light on this for me.

Custom Products

I've got custom products with self fullfillment set up as well as several other choices. When the people select add to cart, they get a screen that has three choices; Custom Products, Gifts and Downloads. The customers don't know where to go for prints. Is there a way to change the tag Custom Products.

Turnaround time for chistmas postcards

I'd like to be able to tell my customers how long it will take to receive an Christmas card order.

I also need to know the last date i can still be taking shots and still have my customers receive their cards by 2 weeks before Christmas!

So what is the last date to order and still receive a Christmas card order by December 10?

Minimum Greeting Card Order?

Is there a way to set a minimum number of greeting cards for a greeting card order?

The reason it's needing is so that people can't buy a single greeting card at a low price instead of a single 3x5 or 4x6 print at a higher price.

Basically I want to sell the cards in blocks of, say 25 cards and price it out accordingly.

I would love to be able to "Act as if" I'm a customer when making purchases from a client (but dont want to deal with using their login [or worst creating them a login]) - I just want to have them on the phone - tell me which pictures - I drop them in a cart - and over the phone take their information needed for the purchase - but currently - that would give them my wholesale prices and there goes my profit...

Shipping and Combining Orders

I have two questions:

First, I have a client who's ordering prints (via Mpix), and is telling me that the only shipping option is overnight. She doesn't need them this quickly, and it's costly. Is there anyway that I can set up the shipping to allow for different options? Or is that entirely up to Mpix?

Secondly, she has two galleries that she's ordering from. Can she order from both on the same order?

Offering 16 x 20 print with matting

CANCELLING AN ORDER

During my order process, I have selected the ability to approve or deny an order before it is processed.

I have two questions. The first question is just because I am curious.

I have a customer who placed an order. And, I didn't approve it. (sizing) Since I did not approved this order, has my client's credit card been charged?
In the event that I cannot re-size the image to an appropriate size and replace it for a more suitable option for my client, how do I cancel an order?

Mpix greeting cards - customer-added text layout question

When a customer selects a photo to be printed as a greeting card from Mpix an option is presented to the customer to enter two lines of text. Its easy to enter the text, but I can't find anything that describes where that text will be printed or what the layout will look like. Am I missing something??

Any suggestions for the Best method to quickly add a logo to prints after an order is place by a customer?

I do about half Event/Hunter/Jumper Horse Shows and half Portraits. For the Events, it is a pain to upload thousands of photos full-size. I go through all the photos, edit and then upload them at half size (1-3 mg is really big enough for a good 4x6 or 5x7 print).

I love that the customer can order a print and I can immediately accept it and send it to the printer...but I never do that.

I am a perfectionist and go back and touch up the photo and put my logo on it. I am thrilled with the final product, but it takes too much time after editing and uploading thousands of images in the first place.

What method do you use once an order is placed? Do you have a streamlined method for adding logos for the final print?

I have Lightroom, Photoshop, and a million small programs. I also am using iPhoto now for organizing the photos, but I do not feel that my work is streamlined enough.

Any suggestions for uploading finished images that are ready to be printed before the customer places the order?

The difficulty for me is time it takes to upload thousands of photos and I certainly do not have time to add logos individually to each before they are posted.

Warning for insufficient resolution?

I seem to recall that the customer would receive a warning if they placed an order for a print that was much larger than the image's resolution would support. For example, if a customer placed an order for a 16" by 24" print of an image that's just 500 pixels wide--a warning would appear.

That doesn't seem to be happening anymore. Am I missing something?

Some kind of listing for self-fulfillment

I am using the self-fulfillment option and when I was wondering if I can do the following :

1 - sort the order listing by picture filename

2- export the ordered images as a list so i can import into lightroom. ( imagine 1 print order with 100 pictures that I have to select one by one )

With the current 15% promo on prints, I don't see where to enter the MPIX promo code into the cart. It doesn't take it in the zenfolio coupon location.

Stopping an order

Is there a way to stop an order once it has been placed? I uploaded the WRONG photos (the originals not the ones with the wording....) if not, can I change the crop... b4 it gets printed?

Does order approval work with digital product?

Setting up charges to ship abroad

Hi All,

I would like someone to help me setting up the shipping charges for shipment abroad. For instance I think I can have Zenfolio to ship to Europe, but I need to set up a shipping method along with shipping charges i.e. 'delivery cost per package' and 'maximum number of items per package'. Can I choose for instance to ship by USPS? It is here where I need some price advice or where to look for the reference shipping charges. In fact how can I know how much to charge for a shipment to France or Germany? I think I cannot have a 'flat rate' since charges may be higher than the price of the prints per se or too low if a custom is ordering more prints.

Custom Art Work Sizes

I create some custom sized prints that cannot be cropped (or the desired effect is lost) for example I have one print that is 12x36 (maintaining this 1:3 ratio would also work). Is it possible to get this ratio printed through Zenfolio?

Pricing prints photobox

I want to use the photobox service in order to make prints of some pictures on my Zenfolio account. If I add prints to my cart on my zenfolio website (for example 10 x 15 cm prints), a price of 0,15 is charged per print.

If I would upload my pictures directly to www.photobox.be, without passing Zenfolio, they would only charge me 0,10 EUR per print.

I prefer to upload my pictures to my zenfolio account and order by using my account instead of the need to upload my pictures once again to photobox when I want to order prints.

Please note that I did not change the pricing of my pictures (only base pricing because I have only a basic Zenfolio plan).

Why the difference? Photobox offers promotions, packs, ... I cannot enjoy if I would use my Zenfolio account to order prints?

Is there no other way?

Order Processing Status

Why does it take so long for order status to be updated?

It seems like an order remains in the "Processing" state until it is delivered. Is it not possible to reflect an accurate state when an order ships from the lab to the customer?
