    changes to Dim the Lights

Thanks, last night's changes have made a big difference.

The replacement of those large arrows is greatly appreciated. However if it were down to me, I would get rid of them completely. I find the left/right arrows plus image click to be far more efficient. If one had to have an on-screen control -  would not three small  boxes in a row at the lower right corner be far more ergonomic? Just a thought. (apologies to left-handers.)

Am I correct in finding the dimmed back-ground  dimmer? This I also very welcome. I never could understand either the logic or the aesthetic of leaving the back-ground visible. Is there any reason not to go the last step and simply get rid of it? I think it  would look much better and would leave the new "dim the lights"  doing it's job pretty perfectly.

One final comment if I may. As I think many have pointed out,  the  name "dim the lights" is not self-explanatory, at least not in the UK nor I imagine in any non-English speaking country. I wonder if  "larger image" might be preferable?

Thanks for lots of improvements in the latest changes - sorry if I always want still more!

You have my vote on an improved interface for this.

Precisely what I've been saying.  However, as we've also discovered, this new design which has replaced the previous Large View option doesn't actually give a larger view in many cases---it uses the same size---making it rather pointless.
