    Hi Karen,

The greatest thing about photography/art, etc is our human diversity. Give a thousand folks the same subject matter and you will get 1000 different perspectives, works, results. etc.  Altho I don't usually incorporate many FX or post-shoot photo-enharncements into my own work...I still really appreciate the fine ART element when I see it.

    Your pics are great.

    Cheers,

    KEV

    Hi John,

Mucho thanx for the kind words.

I looked at all your flower shots and really like the approach that you have taken. The reflective element certainly introduces an extra dimension and lifts them above the traditional perspective. I enjoyed that aspect immensely.  Water surface has a 'special' quality that works extremely well with strong colours.

It always amazes me how everyone has their own unique slant when it comes to flower photography.

I've been thinking about doing a similar project with exotic tropical water-lillies, as they are amongst my favourite flowers, so now I'm just going to have to do it - thanx to you Cool

    Cheers,

    KEV

    Hi KEV,

Thanks so much for your kind remarks about my photos.  You are so correct about the differing visions we all experience.  That's what makes photography/art so much fun.  There is no wrong way or style.  I love un-altered photos just as much as the next person but living where I do, the manipulation aspect at least gives me something different to do.

     Take care,

    Karen

I think I'm going to pick this one.  It's simple, but that's why I like it.  (I've been exploring black and white this year, and this was one of the first images so processed.)

    Dove on a Wire

I hope you enjoy it - I've been quite impressed with the range and depth of the talent here.  It's wonderful seeing everyone's work!

This is one of my favorite portraits that I have done.

One of my favorite horse photos:

One of my favorite flower photos:

I am definitely terrible at picking my favorites.  I can never pick just one.

Wow! I have really enjoyed the last hour or so viewing the wonderful variety of images that have been posted here! There are some amazingly talented photographers on this site!

I am very new to zenfolio and just started promoting my page; Kroll Images. In fact this is my first post in the forums. I'm still experimenting with the layout and working to get images uploaded.

It's very difficult to choose just one, but I think this it: Gorge Serenity. It was a very peaceful morning of shooting in the Columbia River Gorge with a fresh blanket of snow. I am so fortunate to live near one of the world's most scenic areas!

Thank you all for sharing your stunning images!

    Hi Brian,

You have a great start on your page.  Your images are very  peaceful and you are blessed to live where it's so pretty and you can almost step out your door and start shooting.  Welcome to Zenfolio.  I too am new here and still finding my way around.

Beautiful work, Brian!  I like the mood of the Gorge Serenity image - I'm reading a book about turn-of-the-century photographers (Muybridge, esp.) and this has a bit of that feel.
