The sun finally peeked through a bit in Central Minnesota yesterday morning. I couldn't help myself but to grab my camera and run out to the granite quarries. A couple of favorite fall photos from my walk.

New to Zenfolio, but I've been working on a series attempting to capture the leaf in midair, between leaving the tree and hitting the ground. I call it Arboreal Angst, but the angst is all mine.

Those are awesome!  And I'll bet it's a real pain in the angst trying to find, focus and capture those that quickly!

Those pictures are really amazing.  I can't imagine a more creative way to capture fall.  Really nice work!  You actually inspired me to try to think outside the box today too:

Autumn in Motion

I stopped down my aperture and used a circular polarizer on my lowest ISO to get a long exposure emphasizing the solid tree trunk with the moving leaves and branches in the wind.  I do wish I had a neutral density filter or that I had gone a little later in the day to get a stronger motion effect, but it turned out decent.  Thanks to Bruce for being a muse today.
