Please add the ability to configure the default search order, much as is available for photos within galleries and groups.

Right now when a customer does a search the galleries seem to show up in random order.   I'm even seeing my newest gallery which is the one the customer most likely wants showing up on pages two or three, or sometimes the last page. 

For myself, I need to sort by title in descending order but I'm guessing that others photographers want different sort orders so we need a search sort default with the same options that are available elsewhere.

Currently search results are displayed by the most relevance to the search criteria. We will definitely consider this for future development.

In the examples I've tried, I'm searching for a rather unique keyword that I've put in my keywords -- one that doesn't show up any where else in the captions or titles -- hence all returned results should have the same "relevance" so the tie breaker should be to show them in descending order of freshness just as most search engines do.    If they did something like that then it would be better than it is now, because now they just seem random.   Is there anything you can suggest I might be able to do that would influence the resulting search order?  Thanks.

I'd agree. I'd like to have most recent uploads appear first in searches.

I'd also like to have the individual photos come up as the first screen after running a search, instead of Galleries. For example runner #7651 is looking for photos of himself. He knows those photos will be in the Gallery from the race he ran. The current setup has the Gallery page come up first, and he has to click over to see the individual photo results. The only way the Gallery coming up first would be relevant to him is if when he clicks on that it reveals the photos of him in that gallery, but currently it just shows the whole gallery.
