There have been several posts on this and Kevin said that they are working on this for a new release.

When I search on google for my business name f 3.2 images it is finally showing up with the correct listings.  My photoblog, my website and my galleries at Zenfolio. Image searches is another ball of wax.  Since I deleted my Fine-Art gallery and now Flickr none of my images come up on an image search.  I guess that I would rather that my locations for my business rather than each individual image comes up, but some images would be nice.

Originally it was showing both of my galleries print and HDTV.  Now it is just showing the HDTV?  I don't know maybe it is having a ecological moment.

This is the problem with the current seo and I don't think that it is all the fault or concern of the photo hosting services.  One day it pulls up one thing and the next day something else.  Another concern is private galleries.  SmugMug had a problem when they first optimized their search engine capabilities on their galleries.  Images that were in private galleries were showing up in general searches.

I think it will be nice when the dust settles on this and you can get web and image results from the searches.

I know that I tend to defend Zenfolio quite a bit, and it's truly from the heart.  But yes there are shortcomings in the current 'structure' (?) of things that don't lend themselves to optimum SEO.  I thought I heard or read that one of the most recent releases addressed something in the underlying structure.  I could only guess at what that might be, but won't voice it because it's a very un-educated guess.

But I too will be very excited to see the day when I can do a google image search and see my photos coming up in there, and see even greater hits now to my Zen pages (although they are all currently indexed and available in google).

As far as your comment where one day a search engine pulls up one thing and another day another thing... very much so yes.  The internet is a 'living entities' where thousands of new sites are born and thousands die constantly.  The websites I do tend to be mainly for small manufacturers (because thats what I grew up in and know best) and I have to constantly remind customers that there is no guarantee in being on the first page.  Some want everyone that searches for 'jobshop' to find their listing in the top-ten. Well with google finding 997,000 hits on 'jobshop', 996,990 listings WONT make it to the top-ten.  And next day, sometimes next hour, the top ten will be different.

But for here and now, improvements definitely can, and I truly believe WILL be made by Zenfolio, and I am truly believe they have already begun and it's just a matter of time.  So I'm being patient.  Or trying to..  cuz I trust the Zenmasters.  :)
