Saying FTP uploading is very very secure is false since data is still sent as plain text (even though images are binary but that's besides the point).  In fact, it is very insecure.  Putty has a PSFTP client which is very small and if Zenfolio would allow SFTP connections, then that would make it very very secure :)

I think the decision to implement or not should be based on the user base.  I personally do not use Photoshop or any other image editor.  I do not consider myself a pro and would gladly welcome any tool to help me edit photos online.  Just from a quick look at fotoflexer.com, I think this would be a great addition to the site.  ...
