Okay I just compared Flickr's slide show image quality to Zen's, and yeah I can definitely see the difference. Kudos to Zen for image quality. I think it would be the best if Zen allowed the viewer an option to choose between going true fullscreen or to keep it the way it is currently.

Well I wouldn't pay for a Zenfolio account if I shoot with p&s. However, I didn't compare the Flickr and Zen side by side. There probably is a slight difference. The people that visit my gallery do not examine my pictures under a loupe. I think the larger picture delivers a bigger impact than a smaller picture that is a little sharper.

Wow I don't notice any quality degradation in the flash method that Flickr uses. Flickr is free! I completely agree. Give us the choice! Let us choose if we want to slightly degrade the quality or not. I don't think there is anyone that doesn't care for this upgrade. This is my only complaint with Zen. However, it's somewhat of a big one. This will definitely effect my decision to stay with Zen or not when renewal time comes around.

Zenfolio desperately needs larger image sizes not only when you "dim lights," but also for the slideshow. Your direct competition, Smugmug, offers full screen images for very large monitors.
