  • confused over cropping

Hello to all, and I hope you can help me, I am new to the realm of digital and have a question about files and cropping to print sizes. I shoot in RAW, and I'm trying to teach myself Lightroom for processing. I noticed that the images on my computer are longer and skinnier than film images that I'm...

  • Re: tiff or jpg...??

As I understand it, the main advantage of tiff files is that they are uncompressed, and so each time they are copied, all of the information gets passed along and none of it gets lost or distorted. • Re: Nikon 'NEF' raw files

ZF is set up primarily as a display site and not as an archival host. RAW files are just that, raw data from your camera's sensor. The RAW file is merely a digital version of a film negative that contains all the data recorded, as such, it isn't intended to be a display format. A RAW file rarely...

  • Re: .DNG Files?

I agree with JKSeidel . I, personally, do the same by archiving RAW files to an external hard drive (DVD backups are too time consuming for me).
  • Re: Upload size

I am a Lightroom user myself, and I use the same workflow as yOOrek. I just save to JPEG before uploading to Zenfolio as the last step.
